Hoover Dam With Mr D..

One of the things on my everlong 'To See One Day' List is the Hoover Dam. I have heard so much about it, and was excited when MrD announced this morning that we were going to drive to see it

Hoover Dam, once known as Boulder Dam, is a concrete arch-gravity dam

 

Set in the Black Canyon of the Colorado River,

 on the border between Arizona and Nevada

At 726.4 ft high ...

its a very long way down

 

but its absolutely amazing...look at that view.
