Santa Monica Stroll

On Sunday Mr D and I went out for Brunch and decided to see where the car took us.

We ended up in the ocean front in Santa Monica.

The weather was gorgeous and we had a wonderful walk on the beach

Meal Plan Monday

 

 

MrD and I had such a good weekend. He managed to spend time with the other lady in his life...his 1966 Chevelle...affectionately known as Lola. After working long hours he deserved to 'relax' by working on her engine for a while.. Sunday we decided to go out for brunch and see where the drive would take us. we ended up in Monica..and had a lovely walk along the beach. Depending on what may happen this week, we have decided to  go back next weekend...a little earlier... and take a walk on the pier.
I have such a happy life right now and am grateful for all Gods Blessings

The Wonderful Box

A big parcel arrived in the mail for me

 

It was full of well wrapped little packages

It was a lovely box of goodies, old and new,

an early Mothers Day present from my thoughtful daughter.

I laughed and I cried...

And My Name Is.........

 

Well...yesterday I spent the afternoon at the Federal Building in Los Angeles. I had an appointment to legally change my surname. I thought it happened when you got married, but not, it seems, when you are an immigrant.

 

I'm afraid it wasn't as fruitful as I hoped it would be. Im still not Mrs D on my alien registration...although I now have a number. There were a few things that we got sorted that should have been done before but were not told. Different departments are telling me different things. Its like the the right hand dosnt know what the left hand is doing. To be quite honest...its all pretty confusing.

 

The main thing is Im now documented as being married and don't have to leave the states. I should be able to get an ID card in the name of MrsD but not a social security number...yet. Im so glad MrD was with me cos I just kept saying "no havent been told that" and "huh?'

 

Somebody please just give me a checklist so I know what Im supposed to be doing..

Meal Plan Monday



Well...what a week that was. Nothing much happened...but I seemed to be incredibly busy. And...I was without the internet for a couple of days...and was so lost. Im a bit amazed about how much I missed it. But, its all sorted now, thank goodness

So here's to a new week, and a new month and one step closer to Spring, my favourite season when everything bursts into new life. I cant wait.
